Alternatively, you may in fact be covered in tattoos but they can't be seen due to all the fur that covers them?
I think there do seem to be more, and bigger this year (should we be afraid?). But also, once you notice them you start looking and realise they are everywhere.
Good thing it's such a benevolent and altruistic company, otherwise there might be concerns.
Arguably, one company should not be responsible for 33% of online services

I have just spent 30 mins on hold to PIP "advice line" to try and get extension on PIP renewal form for 19 yr old. I had claim number but they can't do anything without NI number, which I haven't got. I suspect there's other info they will need too, but don't know what! Reader, I cried.
Sidenote: After a gap of some years I subscribed to Ethical Consumer again at the start of the year. It's great - and this in particular makes me feel better about my longstanding but ultimately pointless attempted boycott of Amazon (impossible nowadays, but I do what I can).
Apparently today is National Harvest Mouse day so here are some rather adorable photos I was able to take a couple of years ago, on the best photography day ever.
Harvest mice are astonishingly cute, and fast, and some of the other creatures I photographed that day would have loved to eat them!
I always cry at events like this - so many people pushing themselves to their limits, for a variety of reasons. But thanks to The Change, me crying at things isn't really remarkable anymore!
Obviously I am not advocating that seriously ill hospital patients stagger out of bed to hang up their number on a little hook, but when did we decide patients didn't need to know such information?
Great article and glad you are improved health-wise. Love the idea of queue info. When I was GP receptionist 30+ years ago each patient was given a little wooden number as they checked in. As they went in to see Dr they hung it on a peg and folks could see how many were ahead. Simple, but effective.
Ah, that's a shame. Hope it' just for the next few days and then some respite. It's been much quieter than usual round here this year. I was feeling quite complacent about it earlier today. That'll teach me!
Ah, that's why it's so noisy round here tonight then. Cat 2 has gone to ground behind the fridge 😞
A big shout of thanks to @leedsautismaim.bsky.social for their excellent PIP guides: I'm finding the How Your Disability Affects You one particularly useful. It's so helpful to have some clarity on which challenges to highlight.

Actually, I've just spotted that email has appeared in the list of ways to communicate, so maybe it's worth the hell that is phoning them? Trouble is, child can't manage phone calls to the extent required to get through the security checks to say I can speak on their behalf! #PIP
He does do magnificent grump most spectacularly!
I've ranted it before but I will rant it again: That is NOT "many ways to communicate", it is a phone number. A phone number which, last time we called it, reduced myself and my adult child to shaking, teary messes - and didn't deal with what needed dealing with. Happy Saturday!
Wow! That's a shocker of a day for you. That's your 3 troubles done at least hopefully.

I can picture two scenarios and honestly I can't tell which is worse:

1. Twenty overlapping voices in a busy office, all trying to talk to our own computers.

2. Me in an otherwise silent house, having my only conversation of the day with a computer.
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

"I think the skills that will be most valuable... ...will be what we would call “people skills”. ... getting along with other people, leadership skills, skills of communication, personal things that you can’t do by just asking an intellectual task to be performed by computer data. 😭 (as an autistic)
I really am, to the extent that I don't know if I can keep watching despite having loved the first episode and told everyone I met to watch it. JR is far too convincing as he lies.
It infuriates me so much when we spend half the programme watching people seem to have a clue and then lose their critical and independent thinking as soon as they reach the round table. Far more than it should irk me given it's a game and I am not even playing!
Agreed. We have only watched 1 episode (are more on iPlayer?) but I love what I have seen so far. So many excellent more mature actors in it too.
Chaotic willpower sounds about right!
There should be research into how cats can exert such astonishing force through a single foot. Far more than should be possible from an animal that size.
It would be a lot less confusing if they would change their name though - EHRC and ECHR are far too similar in name, if not in action.
