I think we should adopt it as a loanword. it already sounds like an English adjective.

"A shimpy package was left at my doorstep"
"I was being followed around town by a shimpy man today"
"There's that shimpy child i keep seeing everywhere"

It feels natural after a while.

Notice this particularly with like youtubers and American anime VAs for example. If they sound flat and monotonous despite their exuberance, it's because they're reaching for the same tones and rhythms time and again. They found something that works but won't journey outside of that. Bad improv.

i think what sets good voice acting/voice over work apart from the rest is that the ones who are best at it understand at least subconsciously that what they're doing is a sort of microtonal improvisatory musical performance.

Not feeling this one. Form and lensing are cool, light composition needs a huge overhaul.
