Me too! This is a tape from 1974 (amongst many I have) with some precious recordings of a friend’s family on it. Unfortunately, it’s one of the types that suffers from sticky-shed syndrome. Baking it in a food dehydrator should fix it long enough to copy. I hope…

The videos look exactly the same. A few dudes in black with masks on, a store near the entrance, right around closing time. Hammers to the glass, grab what you can in a minute, and get out. Any security guard is there just to call 911 and get a plate and car model without being shot.

This happened in Stratford three or four times to the same mall jewelry store near the edge of town this summer. They boost a car from Toronto or KW, drive here, smash and grab, bolt back so fast the cops have to call off the chase, boost another car, and they’re gone. Lather, rinse, repeat.
