Got nominated for Best of the Net. Unfortunately for the haters, I seem to be halfway decent at poetry.

HANGMAN by Travis Shosa

Deactivated my Twitter backup. Don’t know how much I’m gonna be here but maybe more than before, I dunno. I feel like the tiny sense of online community I had has been eradicated the past two years.
I was previously *very online* because of journalism. Keeping on top of things through socials, networking, etc. Now I don’t need to do that, so I’m online far less often. Will pop in occasionally to share a poem or something.
Hey all, I’m not dead, just really not doing anything with music anymore because the stress/harassment/etc. is not worth it and if I wanted to be treated like crap, working retail would be a better option because the pay is at least consistent.
Poetry updates:

“Gogoplata,” a *psychosexual* prose poem, has landed on Citywide Lunch.

“The Australian Diaspora,” an intertextual cultural satire poem (also with sex puns), has landed on The Gorko Gazette.

Still waiting on Twitter to deal with my account hack. I’m like barely frustrated about it now? I dunno, I’ve been online for like maybe half an hour total this weekend and it’s great. Been doing the Retsnom route in Hundred Line, wrote some poetry, lots of meditation. I think social media sucks.
*thing

Anyways yeah I’m trying to sort it out but it’s a process.
Whole damn this is a mess but it went back to what it was kinda? No profile pic anymore though. Whoever hacked my account is having a weird one.
So this is what’s going on with my Twitter account right now.
Well, time to be on here a bit more since I have been bodysnatched on Twitter. I have been doing poems. 3 acceptances this week! I made a bad website you can check out. 🫡

My personal Twitter account @tsdenizen has been hacked. It's private so I can't monitor it at all, but please disregard everything from that account until further notice.

Very stoked to have made my @bruisermag.com debut with “The Limbo of Coolness,” a poem that is a triptych but also a stand-up monologue but also an essay about masking with enjambments rooted in jazz theory and I will shut up now just uh give it a read I guess 🫡

Two things:

1) new poem up on Eulogy Press. It’s short, stupid, and a little sad. Check it out if you want.

2) I am going to try to be online a little less for a while. I’ve hit a breaking point. It took more than a year but I can’t really deal right now.

I am a poet (?) of the people
Wild to think I started writing poetry in earnest last month and I got something on Maudlin House and I just got another poem picked up for what will eventually be a print anthology. And I’ve got enough written for a full collection (but it’s still only half done). Feeling creatively fulfilled rn.

Kinda wild how it’s the freelancer’s job to find the right publication for a pitch, craft it, follow up and pray for a response, and then maybe (!) write the story, act as middleman between PR and editorial, send an invoice so people don’t forget to pay them, and run it back lol
