Look, I don’t think we’re voting our way out of this and I don’t know why you think I do. Most of us are able to do a few hours-long march and also participate in actionable ways against what is happening.

While patronizing and misogynistic, I also wonder if it was a cover for the fact that he’s having a hard time differentiating competing sounds. It happens to mosteveryone as we age, with some conditions, exacerbating it.

Unfortunately, I think what is happening is the people who are being taken into custody are going to be placed into slave labor under an expansion of the 13th amendment loophole. Then they’re going to be placed in the fields and instead of working for minimum wage they’re going to work for free.

And also, if I’ve learned anything from watching Ukraine’s sustained response it’s that humor is an incredible tool against hopelessness, hate, and fascism.

People who are isolated and hopeless are easier to control, so while an event like No Kings is not going to result in actionable change, it is going to help people feel less alone and help people connect to grass roots and mutual age groups that are creating action, like PIRC.

They snagged a Ukrainian as well, so obviously they are expanding who gets kidnapped. I’m afraid we are going to have an expansion of slavery through the prison system, and that will be how our crops get grown and harvested.

It’s always kind of interesting when I’ve encountered it-variety of getups, from glitter to various forms of undress. Because it isn’t sexual at all, it’s not particularly sensational in real life.

The levity is keeping the surge of military somewhat at bay, which is helping keep more neighbors safe than if we escalate. Also, downtrodden people are much easier to control.
