Dumb question, but does that have any impact on schedule LP announcements for end Sept-early Oct? I’m not clear on how ARC recs made to senate connect to pending grants….
We should all refuse to assess ARC grant applications until they sort this out or at least communicate properly with us. It’s so embarrassing to try to explain to industry partners
Plus it’s embarrassing for us as researchers - we expended social capital convincing partners to join the project, and then we are implicated over ARC silence
In what other industry would this be acceptable? Academics are one of the ARC’s key stakeholders (if not their primary stakeholder) but their treatment borders on contempt.
