I don’t know what to put here. In short: Dad. Clemson alum. Canes (NHL) fan. Nintendo supporter. Semi-lapsed wrestling mark. Patiently working my way towards retirement.

A photo of Mark Davis in his awful little bowl cut with a pic of his girlfriend:

Congrats! Homeownership is the best. (Only a tinge of sarcasm - it is pretty cool.)

Maybe one day I’ll bother actually playing with someone who isn’t a Shoto.

I do appreciate each fighter having their own ranking ladder though. I’m still mad that’s not the case with #SmashBros.

Same! Graphics are nice and all, but make your game fun first!

At $13M - and not counting any marketing expenses - this thing is making a profit at 220k units.

With Z-A being crossgen, it’s likely already done that on preorders alone. No wonder Nintendo was so quick to bundle it in with Switch 2 units.

*If accurate* it’s always fun to see Nintendo make a game for a pack of gum and some crackers that’ll go on to sell 10 million units while the rest of the industry trips over themselves to see who can go bankrupt first.

I need Square-Enix to take some lessons from Nintendo.

Exactly this. Some of which, I’ve come to prefer (like sloppy joes).

They’ll just wait it on AI

That’s really what they should’ve done from the jump.

I need to pick up my ground turkey at Costco!… (but we’ve got some in the freezer to work through first)

No. The majority of people who go to college benefit from it socially, economically and especially intellectually.

19. Is college a scam? Why or why not?

Surprised at the strong feelings this skeet generated. Please continue on!

I will say one thing in my defense tho - I can tell the difference btwn ground turkey and ground beef 😅 It’s just that I’ve been eating turkey for so long that it does phase me anymore. Seasonings and sauces narrow the gap.

I can get that. Since it’s a much leaner meat, it needs something (water, broth, etc) to keep the moisture in. Even then, it’s not as “loose” as ground beef, so there is acclimation period.

We’ve been using it so long, I don’t miss it (though I do enjoy ground beef/pork still).

lol, I do it all the time. It helps! We sent the kids back to daycare/school yesterday among much protesting from them.
topolk.bsky.social
This. The right seasonings/sauces will get you where you need to be.

Who are those people who come back from vacation “refreshed” and “energized,” because I want to meet them? I’ve never once - at any job - come back from any vacation ready to work.
topolk.bsky.social
First day back in office since last Monday and I am not mentally ready to jump back in.
topolk.bsky.social
I like this idea, but I don’t plan things out early enough to make that work 😅

I feel like I’m doing good to defrost one meat ahead of time as is.
topolk.bsky.social
Now is a great time to consider switching over to ground turkey. Unless you’re making burgers, you can’t tell the difference in 90% of recipes.

Half the cost and healthier for you.

These prices are ridiculous! To be priced out of lean ground beef.

The idea of Microsoft making another “traditional” console is laughable to me. They’re so cooked.
topolk.bsky.social
I agree on both points, especially the first. That train has been moving, so they probably can’t hold off for more than a year. Right now the global economy is in a weird place and dropping a $700+ console in 2 yrs may be worse than it is now.
topolk.bsky.social
Not to mention the currently lengthy dev cycles. What software would be there to make this investment worth the time?
topolk.bsky.social
Developers haven’t even come close to tapping the power of the PS5/Xbox Series. Speaking of, those 5 year old consoles recently went *up* in price.

I’m gonna need Sony and MSFT to push that timeline out another year.
