K-Pop Demon Hunters -
There are good movies, and there fun movies. This is one of the most fun movies I've seen in my life. It's also pretty good, but it's such an enjoyable watch. No bad songs, incredible animation, and such wonderfully likable characters with great dialogue

Hades -
This was my gateway to roguelikes and gave me a new genre of greatness I'd never been able to care for previously. The mechanics feel pretty good and I always appreciate that for how difficult the game is, it's always fun. The characters and world are a delight too.

Donkey Kong Bananza -

There are more games to play than I will ever have the time to, and yet there is a very finite amount of them that will be really special. The ones you play from start to finish, have the best dang time, wanna go right back and do it all again. This is one of those.

Palworld -

I like this game more for what it means than what it is. I appreciate another developer showing that Pokémon could be a lot weirder and wilder and different than it is, but it’s still very rough around the edges. Great gameplay loop, but it’s not all the way there yet.

New Super Lucky’s Tale

I’m a sucker for mascot platformers, and this one scratched the itch I had to play one. I’d love to see a sequel that expands on the already pretty great move set and maybe goes a little further with the story. Good humor, pretty good time overall.

The NeverEnding Story (1984) -

This was an ok movie with some really fun characters and a fun ending but a very average middle and very weird message. I like the dragon though, very cute dragon that is also a little creepy.

Epic The Musical -

Now my favorite musical, and also a great case to prove that indie productions are the future of art in a landscape where creatives are always being stifled by the companies producing work. I regularly listen to all 40 songs and am still shocked at the quality

The Flash (2014) Season 2 -

Maybe the perfect follow-up? The way this builds on what was established in the first season and improves on every character is actually insane. Yet again we get another 11/10 villain in another 10/10 season. Also some of the lesser character writing improved

The Flash (2014) Season 1 -

This is like, exactly the superhero thing I’ve always wanted wanted. It’s cozy, it’s campy, it’s got intrigue and mystery, and some genuinely great performances especially from one of my favorite villains ever.

This year was the year I became a bigger DC fan than a Marvel fan, never thought I’d see the day. Played Batman Arkham Asylum, watched Superman & The CW Flash, and they’ve given me my new favorite movie, tv, and (almost) game superhero iterations.

My way too soon after watching opinion on Superman: it’s my new favorite superhero movie, one of my favorite movies ever, my favorite supporting cast, my favorite villain, and my favorite hero. A movie that is unrelentingly great that couldn’t keep a smile off my face and hope in my heart.
