People like David Nutt have advocated for a science-led approach to drugs policy for years, but UK governments persist in a blanket policy of criminalisation.
Since Portugal decriminalised, it reduced drug related deaths by 80%.

I don't quite understand the framing of "legalise all drugs" where it likely means decriminalise. And much of that, imo, is common sense, advocated for by groups like Amnesty International. Why is Marijuana illegal in the UK? Like half of America and many other places, it could be a £1.5bn industry.

Due to feeling cheated by ever increasing prices, I tried chopping dishwasher tablets in half and it has made absolutely no difference at all to quality of cleaning. I’ve been doing this all year.

Ok this is weird. I was definitely stuck in a camera mode yesterday, When the slidey menu simply wasn’t appearing (was just “video / photo”. Must be another bug because I had done a restart since then.
I think before the update the full menu wasn’t hidden-until-interaction.

Yeah, they’ve done a similar thing with portrait mode - moved it to the edit features. Not the biggest deal but a little confusing.

Wow. The new iOS26 is the first in a while to make things quite a bit worse.
Battery life worse. Seeing a lot of website-breaking issues in Safari, had to turn off transparency in the new UI due to too many readability issues, plus having to look up how to do things (like take slo-mo video).

Haha, false. When we sold our house we had 5 offers to consider, all with covering letters, which made a huge difference to our final decision and the offer we accepted.

Yes. This is one possibility, even before recycling. A number of vehicle manufacturers already do this (Nissan, BMW, Renault) but clearly there is more opportunity here.
Ultimately this is a good problem to have: a surplus of high value, recyclable materials currently in-demand.
