Yeah, that’s what I just said. Licensed taxi cabs, absolutely, Uber or Lyft, no way they are not safe for women. But there are still many areas in the U.S. that licensed taxis do not exist. The U.S. public transportation is lacking in most of the U.S.

This is easy to say when you don’t have to worry about being assaulted & ☠️ by your driver. If it’s a licensed taxi service, I’ll use it. But if it’s one like uber or Lyft, I’d rather use an unMANned car.

Then I go read the actual articles myself through the links.

I will never get the people who hate a team or entertainer because everyone else loves them. I get rooting for the underdog, love your team, but why must you have such a vitriol response to the other team. This reminds me of people who are mean to others bc they’re unhappy themselves.

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

I’d take it a step further and in a different direction…the whole point of government is to distribute shares resources that are too expensive for individuals to purchase on their own. If they’re not doing that, there is no need for a government and all of these people can get another job.
