It occurs to me a bunch of people are about to be new to poverty. I have some advice, if you want it.

1. This will be counterintuitive: Spend it while you've got it. Some money comes in, one way or another? Buy food. Buy tp, soap, shampoo, toothpaste. Socks, underwear. You'll thank yourself.

Sandwich: Ciabatta, heirloom tomato, fresh mozzarella, pesto, romaine lettuce (season the tomato with salt and pepper, the mozzarella same plus a little balsamic, and add some Duke's if you want to moisten the romaine side); toast lightly

I take a brighter view of, not all, but many of our fellow human beings.

That's not to speak to this particular race. I am not acquainted with the lady, and I don't have any dog in this hunt. Also, emphatically, not speaking of Republicans.

Generally, though. In my view, largely this is not any lack of feeling or personal sensibilities, but rather the reverse.

I think a lot of them do it because they're filled with passion about getting our nation on the right track. They have knowledge and experience to offer younger members, should they win, so as to better inform that generation as it takes hold.

And they think this is more important than they are.
