My job notifications are clogged with some crap from some “Twine” company which seems like ai written job postings for the kind of one off freelance jobs you’d find on Craigslist once upon a time. With no way to filter that page out at all. It’s maddening.

Thanks, yeah I was hoping to hear back about that today so I could politely cancel the retail interview, but as usual they take forever to actually make a decision. Which like, honestly I’d have preferred they already have rejected me if that’s what they’re going to decide. The waiting is terrible.

Got a regular ass this retail job interview tomorrow and tbh I’m dreading it.

I’m still waiting to hear back about the job in my field that I actually want, so it would be super great to know what’s happening there.

I hate the waiting.

Honestly it seems like they want it to tank so they can get out of games entirely and push their ai drivel. If they collapse their gaming unit and sell off any remotely viable IP then they’ll have a bunch more money they can spend on like another month of AI costs.

My guess is the adhesive didn’t stick well on those panels so they added more, because obviously the wall needed that foam brick really bad!

Yeah I haven’t read much of Berserk so I’m not sure how much specific overlap there is with events or themes, more character designs and such have been pulled over to DS. I get the impression there’s less sexual themes in Dark Souls. Though again, I don’t know how much Berserk touches on that stuff.

I’ve got this one book, there’s a handful of them though. But I’m sure it’s a decent way to get a taste of the world and lore without the punishing gameplay!

Elden Ring is great for that, it’s much more open. So it’s a great start for people new to the genre. The other games are much more linear, though they definitely have a good amount of exploration and standing around looking at stuff! Gotta find those items that give that tasty tasty lore!

Oh yeah I fully get it. You do need to be in the right mood for it. Honestly I’ll often be balancing hard games with chill games at the same time. If they’re distinct enough styles of game they don’t get in each others way.

That doesn’t add much to the actual game world lore but it’s a fun idea anyways.

And Dark Souls specifically has fun lore attached that works well within the context of real world players playing the game, it’s all about people losing their will to live and in turn going hollow, and everybody in their own versions of the world, so if you play and give up then you went hollow.

I know there are some amount of comics for I think both Dark Souls and Bloodborne that could be worth checking out!

But then a lot of Dark Souls is super just taken from Berserk.

Like my partner who hasn’t played nearly as many games as I have has beaten all of the souls games plus Bloodborne and Elden Ring. So they’re fully doable if you’re into the games.

Honestly I think those games get more of a “repetitive because it’s so hard” reputation than they actually deserve, like yeah it is hard and challenging when you first jump into it but it’s very learnable and scales in a fair way as you progress.
