I hate how gaming discussions have devolved into this “Us vs. Them” moral crusade where even saying something is fun or poking fun at a flaw could be seen as a controversial statement. Feels like it’s become a flaw to just turn off your brain and have fun

Another reason I don't like western stories as much is that there's less focus on symbolism, subtext, and overall the stories and worlds are just less creative. There's some I like such as Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and most of what Rare made.

I always appreciate things that have a tinge of humor or playful sarcasm. SMT has that even if it's supposed to be bitter and isolated. One reason I don't like western stories as much is that they feel like they have to be too serious and mature all the time. I have more to say about that but limits

Video games have never been more fulfilling as a hobby for me as it is now.
