a thing I think about from time to time is that people saw the shooter on the roof before the Charlie Kirk assassination, and if we hadn’t already normalized snipers doing overwatch on public events they probably would’ve mentioned that to the cops right away

I once saw a conservative bash and scoff at someone describing empathy without using the word empathy.

He could not recognize the concept without someone saying the word, because he couldnt feel or understand it.

He needed you to say empathy so he could know to start pretending

every single one of them that I've met has been paranoid and has extreme difficulty reading other people's social cues, which is not a great combination

My right wing ideals immediately collapsed the second I stopped isolating myself in the suburbs and actually went out into the world and met and befriended people in the groups I was told to be afraid and hateful of.

I'll never forget the time in my local train station a whole crowd of people turned this asshole into a blubbbering fearful mess because he was verbally abusing a homeless man.

I get really frustrated with the way so many people try to gatekeep "game design" behind the activity of "product design", like it only counts if you're making a complete object to offer to people. But "thinking like a game designer" is something most RPG players do in order to even play at all.

I had an idea to combine the sticky and reach GL into a single weapon a while ago: scope swapped between sticky and bouncing, and the reload key was used to detonate the stickies.
