Hundreds of thousands of people, dead because of a decision made by the world's richest man
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

Is there a prominent Brexiter left who hasn’t torn off their mask to reveal the rancid racism beneath? Boris Johnson’s chief fluffer accusing anyone else of being over-promoted is peak process. The bitterness of insanely privileged men with empty souls knows no bounds.
For anyone still tempted to take Dominic Cummings at all seriously, he's now an advocate of Donald Trump-style open racism.

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Honestly read this piece and it is an entertaining mix of entitlement and naivety.

Is suprised to find so much Catholicism in Italy
Spends a paragraph complaining how expensive UK property is while mentions being a landlord who worries about the renters rights bill
Stupidity, ignorance, poor grasp of historic context, lack of empathy - but also insecurity due to their own migrant backgrounds, which makes them feel the need to 'prove' their sense of Britishness. Absurd.
It does fascinate me how many right wing extremists have distinctly non British ancestry and somehow still imagine they are 'different' to the people they 'other'.

Elon Musk was right. This is the scene in the Cotswolds right now.

Just forked out £95 for a COVID jab. It's better than catching the bugger again, but I'm not impressed that those of us who work in NHS hospitals in roles that involve patient contact are having to pay for it under a Labour government.

'Coast Scene at Brighton: Evening.'
This view, painted in May 1828, depicts the setting sun over Shoreham-by-Sea, west of Brighton. The melancholy character of the picture may be linked to the declining health of John Constable's wife Maria, who died six months later.

“During the Covid-19 lockdowns, we were forced to close for many months. This led to £17,000 in unpaid rent. Our landlord is now pursuing court action and will not renew our lease unless this is paid in full. Without help, Taylors Buttons will close forever this November.“
