Far and wide today. Drive down to Killin and climbed down to rocks at Falls of Dochart. Onto Kenmore and Aberfeldy. Beautiful day and quite warm. Scenery breathtaking.

Loch Assynt, #Sutherland today - I had to wait before getting onto the water so as not to ruin the mirror for some photographers. Pictures from just off the north and southern shore of the loch.Best reflections I have seen. Had to be quick as the ripples from paddling would get in front if I delayed
Dead trees standing in Loch Assynt perfectly reflected in calm water. Dull weather with low cloud giving muted colour and a lot of grey. Rocky shoreline with. fallen tree and Autumn foliage reflected in still dark waters seen from just offshore. Kalidoscope effect.

ooh eye roll....I am undone 😊
One of the main things will be to ensure all indy supporters know not to give any numbers (weighting)to non indy parties in the 2nd vote.Knew a few people last election who thought they had to number all.
It's going to be such an important election...United we stand??

In this case, no. 🤷‍♂️

Hiked the most beautiful Munro yesterday, it what was glorious conditions (apart from the major bog fest at the beginning).

Ben Lui, 1130m

(Didn’t make it up the adjacent Munro Beinn a’Chlèbh because we took too long enjoying Ben Lui)

Be still, my beating heart. Scotland’s majesty is breathtaking. ♥️

Four quick snapshots from our journey - the first two from the north east coast of Skye, and the second two facing the Cuillins from the Glenbrittle Valley.

Stunning. 🙂

Cliff-top scene taken in Totternish, Skye (near Staffin Bay), including a couple standing on a cliff top having their wedding photographs taken. Cliff top and hillside scenery in Totternish, Skye (above Staffin Bay). The Cuillin mountains - their tops hidden by clouds, photographed from the roadside before heading down into the Glenbrittle Valley. View of a waterfall cascading into a crystal clear blue pool in the foreground, and, in the background, the pyramid shaped mountain (one of the Cuillins).

Requiring an SNP majority for indy push is lunacy, putting party B4 country and risking another 'once in a generation' gift to the unionists. Indy is bigger than the SNP and all that should be required is a majority of pro indy msp's. The threat of the far right precludes fannying about!

Until the end of October, the main hill path to the Cobbler is closed on weekdays Monday - Friday due to Forestry and Land Scotland operations. There is a signed diversion using the SW side of the Allt a' Bhalachain. The path is open as usual on weekends.

Big 9hr jaunt up Ben Avon today.....with 22km of cycling and 20km of walking. There's nothing quite like getting back to your bike after a long walk on a big hill and knowing your feet will be getting a rest. The pedal out of Glen Gairn was sooooooo nice! 🙂

Recreational stile, being made to do some work.

A wooden stile on a grass covered hillside. It doesn't provide access to anywhere but it is supporting a makeshift sign. The sign is a wooden board with words in white paint on it that say: "Look for stile 30 MTS in wall." There is also a painted arrow, pointing right. On the right, there is a glimpse of dry stone wall and on the left, in the background, a signpost and a distant hill on the horizon.
