2024 started strong for me but things tapered off. I do believe part of it is a me thing, but I recognize that I have obstacles still to work through, mainly space, time and location/money issues.
I managed to get many of the tools I wanted so I can work on my own things. But it's been rough

Just a working dude that wants to game and write. This is a very early acct and is casual for now. I can seem random at times. I promise I'm normal, just big energy about things.

Get a good gaming laptop if you can. Almost anything works on computer anyway. Get a cool controller. It's great not stressing consoles and stuff.

But also yes, screw Microsoft. Glad to dump it for Linux.

Awful news. These assholes want to turn my 4-10 into 5-8. Meaning I won't have an opening for overtime on day 5 because it becomes a normal day. So I'd work same amount of days(5) but it won't count as overtime anymore since I am not doing 10 hour 4 day weeks. This cuts almost 200 from me per week.

Listen to me. Listen. If you're making images that will only be displayed on screens, YOU HAVE TO LET GO. You can calibrate your screens perfectly, but then 25k people will see it on their shitty $50 monitors or cracked phone and its out of your hands. Don't think of it. Achieve enlightenment.

Stuff on my laptop screen always looks WAY more saturated than it does on my tablet where I do my actual work. Meanwhile my phone is somewhere in the middle.

It is what it is and it will always be this way.

This is how I interact with games now. I'm breaking things down as I play them. I've posted about several games I got into here, talking about diff mechanics, ways designs differ, how and when they do and don't work. I fear they sometimes look like angry rants, but I'm just describing the experience

Some days I feel an unreasonably high level of anxiety/dread. It always passes after a few hours. It isn't often, but it's happened enough that I can tell what's going on.

Best way to manage I've found is to focus awareness on it, acknowledge it is nothing, and carry on.
