Microsoft started doing a similar thing with my PC. Big ol screen telling me to buy a new PC to run the latest windows version. All I can do is tell it to 'remind me later'

It cost a thousand dollars and still runs just fine and plays whatever games I want. It's stupid.

While sumatriptan can lose effect if used frequently, from what I've read, the fact is that it's actually much much harder to dispense that way. It doesn't make sense.

Obviously, I can't say for certain, but at best they seem careless, at worst they might be trying to foist damaged meds on you.

Yeah, change pharmacy. I checked with my staff pharmacist and he still balked at the idea of sumatriptan being out of its packing. On top of that he was able to quickly look up that it is light/moisture sensitive and will lose potency if not stored correctly.

Tech really should have investigated further. Even if it passed verification, that should be a big red flag.

That said every drug has unique identifiers, so you should be able to verify what you got by color, shape and markings. But even if it's the right stuff, let them know how it came to you. In nearly a decade of being a pharmacy tech, I've never heard of foil packed meds being dispensed loose.

That... Yeah that's odd. Genuinely, get ahold of your pharmacy and see what's up with that. Some medications actually lose potency with prolonged exposure to air. Dunno if that's one, but that packaging is definitely sus.

Damn, glad you're OK.

But, like, I'd look into that ASAP if you can at all afford it. If it's been over a week and you're still having reactions, a doctor's visit is definitely in order. Don't wait till it's serious again.

That's what we'd advise someone at our pharmacy.

maybe it's not v professional of me but i'll always think that venting into the abyss is better for (though not ideal for) mental health than keeping all your frustrations bottled up. that shit really eats you from the inside
