And that's a wrap! Have a good night, everyone!
Eleanor Roosevelt said "Do one thing every day that scares you!" That may be extreme, but I hope you face one fear this month and come out stronger for it.
Happy Pumpkin Month! #Writestuff

Right now, it's a three-way tie between a Pokémon trainer, Sky: Children of the Light, or Link from Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

#writestuff Thanks for hosting! See ya'll next week!

I'll be taking the kid around on Halloween, that's about it. It'll be a good time. We are still working on narrowing the costume down.

Self-promo time! What works, scary or not, do you wish to scare with the #WriteStuff crowd?
If you'd prefer an alternative question, what are your Halloween or October plans?
Don't forget to repost others' replies!

A6: #writestuff I'd imagine it's from a lack of life experience and less concern of the weight of permanence. Kids are funny though. A toddler will have a complete melt down over losing a French fry for 2 seconds, but the family pet missing, just another day!
wait, adults are scared of Bill Cipher?

Q6: Some food for thought before self-promo. I've seen that when certain fictions scare adults, kids are delighted. Like Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls or jolts during car rides. Why do you think that is? #WriteStuff

Q5: Suppose you could scare a reader with your next work. If you had to make something up, an impossible fear in real life, what would you choose? #WriteStuff
thanks.. It might be why I am good at being a creepy writer.... <.<...>.>
A4: Any animal monster. Animals just don't bother me. Like I know I said I don't like zombies or aliens but if they are animal zombies or beast aliens then..I mean... I could fix them. #writestuff

Q4: How about monsters and frights that scare others but have no effect on you? Do you have a favorite that cannot give you nightmares? #Writestuff

Oh, l had an overactive imagination that everything spooky I was exposed to as a child festered in my brain & became 1000x worse. I didn't sleep alone until I was 15. I was diagnosed with insomnia & had to be tranquilized from terrorizing myself. I had auditory & visual hallucinations.

A3: #writestuff I wrote plenty of poetry as a teen that upset and scared people... as far as my novel writing, no one reads that. I have one reader. She has said there are a few things that gave her the shivers. The two other betas I had that read my origin story did express understanding of fear.

Q3: Have you ever written a story or other media that scared people? That didn't just make them look at you funny and ask questions? #WriteStuff

I don't watch or read stuff that bothers me. Like any humanoid creature that lacks a personality, cannot be reasoned with. I really hate the idea of zombies or violent spectral beings, unfriendly extraterrestrials, too.
I write all of these though, cause I can control the narrative.

Q2: Has there ever been a work of fiction or a character that has absolutely scared you? Something that cannot exist in real life, thankfully?

See, that's totally rational though. #writestuff
A1: #writestuff
I don't know, I can rationalize most everything that I am legitimately scared of.
Maybe I have fears about stuff beyond my control? For instance, dying in my sleep, then my husband goes to work and my kid has to find me by herself? Still feels rational though, but out of my control.
