I *imagine* I sit at a bracket 2 (minus Mana Crypt) but tbh my favourite thing about "NarNar" as @spectaclesinblue.bsky.social affectionately refers to it as; is how often I have cut an absolute trash edh card like Prince Imrahil because it busts my deck in half and is strictly too game warping

The 20 life is mostly because there's a lot of intentionally very complex decisions about how much mana to push on your turn, what spells to greed vs let sit in the yard, forms of top deck manipulation,,,I wanted it to get to the end in relatively few turns while maintaining a high complexity

After iteration I decided that I wanted players to skip the "setup" and get into more meaningful spells asap + make sure to account for the randomness of a 150 card deck (especially wrt colour fixing). I knew I didn't want a *ton* of mana rocks though I included some fun ones (Crypt KILLS you here)

I would definitely talk to Cole as well then! Looking at this Genie's Lamp, I see some key differences in the rules structuring but my primer indicates where I've kind of settled (for now)

NarNar is an unholy union of EDH and DanDan. A curated 4 player jeskai only pod where there are no good choices only less bad ones.

## THE RULES ARE SIMPLE:
* **TWENTY LIFE**
* **START WITH A COMMAND TOWER IN PLAY**
* **EVERYONE HAS A COPY OF NARSET, ENLIGHTENED EXILE IN THE COMMAND ZONE**
* **WHEELS AND SIMILAR DRAW EFFECTS ARE RESOLVED IN TURN ORDER**
* **IF YOU WOULD DRAW FROM AN EMPTY LIBRARY YOU DIE (unless you win,,,)**

It's an interesting exercise and I highly recommend trying it! Applying DanDan design logic (manipulation of the now public zones to control tempo) to four player is already interesting, it has that cube like "bespoke player designed card list" appeal (IMO)

Oh cool! I made Jeskaibowl about 2 years ago, and I know @thebloodricguy.bsky.social made Killer Queen even further back than that, but I'm always excited to see more takes on this, especially when they are in completely different themes/colour IDs
