I am convinced that there seems to be some kind of conspiracy afoot where the most innocuous posts I just throw out cause I'm bored suddenly explode my notifs because there is an underground movement plotting against me by trying to make me popular on the internet

I'm not crazy, I know it's true!

Wonder why it can't read Firefox extensions, maybe cause Firefox is tougher than Chrome/Chromium browsers? Guess that's more reason why I'm never touching a Chromium browser ever again lol

Bless LibreWolf for existing, lotta piece of mind using something that isn't so invasive
This is just my guess, I have no knowledge of how browsers work nor how to even detect extensions to begin with, but either way I think CanvasBlocker's "good enough" for fingerprinting protection

Really should document some recommendations atp cause I could infodump for hours on this topic lol
Hmm, nothing here really suggests it's blocking access to extensions, seems to only be common values like screen size, canvas, WebGL, etc.

I'm guessing it doesn't block extension readouts because extension fingerprinting is already rare to find and even if it was common faking it isn't possible
then that is pretty dope though I wonder how it can do that without it being detected itself and basically lifting the veil on the whole operation

Probably just reading too much into it, best let the magic box do what it says
turned off ResistFingerprinting and installed CanvasBlocker to get "good enough" fingerprinting protection, I later fixed the problem by updating my browser (where I discovered it was severely out of date, which oops) so CanvasBlocker got tossed out the window

If it does fake extension readouts
Not sure, I only use CanvasBlocker on mobile because ResistFingerprinting can't be enabled, otherwise I'd just use that and just keep uBO

For a time I used it on desktop cause LibreWolf had an issue of not allowing canvas access to some sites even if the override was set for that site, so I just
hence why for mobile Firefox I only have uBlock Origin and CanvasBlocker, so I can keep my fingerprint more on the down low, though I'm not the be all and end all guidebook on Internet privacy so what works for me won't work for everyone, not helped by my paranoia lol

But hey it ain't Chrome!
If you already have ClearURLs then I would say skip Actually Legitimate URL Shortener as it has a tendency to conflict with ClearURLs iirc

I kinda disagree on the redundancy part cause browser extensions are very easy to detect and the more you have the more unique your browser fingerprint becomes,
Also advice, you should enable the "AdGuard URL Tracking Protection" filter and import the Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool filter list so you'll always have a website URL clean of tracking junk in your URL bar :D

The Arkenfox wiki has a guide on how to do it github.com/arkenfox/use...

Firefox privacy, security and anti-tracking: a comprehensive user.js template for configuration and hardening - arkenfox/user.js

Content blocking these days is just non-negotiable, modern websites are so bloated with ads and tracker bullshit that only serves to bring good enough computers to their knees and harvest every bit of your data, it's unreal that it's gotten to this point

And yet we're the ones "stealing" 🙄

I genuinely don't understand how people defend the crap Euro seating that's coming with new rolling stock here in the States cause here in the States we're accustomed to seats that are, y'know, ACTUALLY GOOD?! So having the throne taken away and replaced by hard plastic kinda fuckin sucks!

Alternate reality in which Budd survived and we just kept making excellent equipment passengers would actually want to ride instead of mediocre equipment with seats that are too hard for long journeys and no food service.

For $60 you get okayish art but the art is your character being hit by crowbars instead, though you still have anvils dropped on you irl

(in case this ain't clear, this post is a joke, you can't pay me to drop heavy metal objects on you or draw me dropping heavy metal objects on you, sorgy)
Opening a new small business where paying me $40 gives you mediocre art of your character being hit by anvils which will be the last thing you see before I drop anvils on you irl

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
Lmao is this supposed to be a bad thing?

Buried in Michigan's antiporn bill is a provision to effectively outlaw "circumvention tools," such as VPNs.

Mark my words: legislators will increasingly leverage porn panic to restrict or ban VPNs, and to limit internet privacy far beyond adult sites.
Experts raise privacy concerns over Michigan bill targeting pornography and VPNs
Rep. Josh Schriver, the bill’s sponsor, says the law is designed to target only producers and distributors of pornography, not everyday internet users.
