Now hear me out, Letitia James has emerged for me personally as a possible presidential candidate. I don't live in NY so if be curious about their thoughts. But damn it would be nice to have such a fearless and qualified person in office.

It's a myth that AI boosts efficiency. I too have gotten stuck in chat bot loops for days to fix a simple issue. AI has made almost every aspect of life harder in the span of a year.

Spent all weekend trying to get an AI chatbot to refund me for an item it said didn't qualify for a refund. Finally googled called them and spoke to a human. The guy was not only very nice to chat with, he resolved the problem in under 5 min. I got the refund and a pleasant conversation.

A severe typhoon hit Alaska and has destroyed Alaskan Native villages. Homes are floating down the river. FEMA cuts and the use of the National guard to terrorize cities means they are not receiving critical rescue support and aid. And of course the media is NOT reporting on it.

If I was a dictator I would immediately force all landlords to reduce the rent by 50% and revoke drivers licenses from everybody who owns a Tesla. But that's why I would never be in the situation of becoming a dictator to begin with.

Using imperfect tools in a way that serves the greater good is to me a better way to live than cowering in the comfort of moral purity. If you can't have this nuanced discussion don't bother replying. There is room for disagreement on this topic, but thus far that hasn't been permitted.

At some point it is important to acknowledge adherence to the letter of your principle is a privilege. We are not in a lab, we are in real life. We would be more valuable by staying and countering the right's narratives and algorithmic dominance. Doing so is more in the SPIRIT of our principles.

I think that allowing ourselves to be chased off every social media platform is actually not productive. The argument that it will destroy the platform thus far that hasn't been shown to be true. BUT the right has clearly gained more digital territory and our community's have been dispersed.

I understand and agree with the movement to get people off substack and Twitter. But also - it’s HARD to be responsible for the sins of everyone who owns stuff. It’s genuinely difficult to build a following, an income source, and then have to keep migrating because of things out of your control.

UPDATE | The Israeli cabinet meeting to ratify the ceasefire agreement did not convene, despite an hour having passed since the scheduled time.
Additionally, the government session to approve the agreement, scheduled for 5:00 pm, was postponed to 6:30 PM, then to 8:00 PM.
