Hello, Bluesky.

I'm Tetra Yon, VN game dev, writer, musician, and visual artist.
I mostly post doodles and snippets of my work here while I develop my games.

My dev studio account is @studiovual.bsky.social, and you can find me on itch.io and Bandcamp.
Screenshot from Yudashi Peril: Floraison, showing menu interaction from game.

Homura is contemplating what to say about what they should do to another character, and the menu choices from top to bottom are: a locked mystery option, "Kill Him?", "Knives?", and "Jail?". Behind the menu options are sprites of the characters Mantis and Snake, respectively.

Menu choices are shown in the center of the screen, location labels are shown in the top right, stat meters are shown in the bottom left, textbox showing relevant topic of menu choices is in the middle, and labels for chapter, date, and time of day are shown in the bottom right. Screenshot of text editor showing Ren'Py script files for Yudashi Peril: Floraison. The scene shown is a snippet from the beginning of the game. Screenshot of a song file opened in the DAW program LMMS, showing various MIDI instruments and VSTs, the Beat+Bassline editor for one track, various effects, automation, and the Song Editor timeline. Screenshot of Clip Studio Paint showing illustration of the character Aiko Akakura from Yudashi Peril: Floraison. Aiko is looking to the side pensively and is drawn in a sketchy style with dark red and white as the palette.

Granted it's still not the most complex thing but the fleshblood took half the work time, easily. Reference photos of beef cuts + gradient map = this

I made a music video last night that I planned on posting but I decided it was too spooky so I'm saving it for Halloween now

🌒 It's YDSP Wednesday 🌘

Homura's not feeling very well.

Can you believe this was meant to be a simple sketch?

Saw Kiss of the Spider Woman a second time!!! Cried a second time!!!

Sorry, screenplay, not directed by
tetrayon.bsky.social
Oh my God. I genuinely just popped into this because I was excited to see a movie musical with the same director as Chicago was in theaters. I didn't expect to wind up crying because it was a deeply personal story about a trans woman just trying to survive. Please see it

Back then I mostly used to recreate real world buildings in the game like stuff from China's forbidden city

You want to know what's funny? I mainly used to play it when it was like, really really early on. I remember being confused when hunger was added. It was that long ago

Learning vocab from enka and kayokyoku in the hopes that I might be able to speak like a woman scorned and heartbroken

Honestly the only cringe thing about it is what came out of YouTube and the like. Playing for yourself is great

Tried a practice JLPT test tonight. I really need to learn more vocab and grammar

I can parse kanji as discrete entire words, but a string of hiragana I still have to stop and run through to process before I can do anything with, sometimes. I don't know why that is
tetrayon.bsky.social
I'm starting to be able to tell when something is and isn't a particle but it's kinda hard sometimes because I'm still really not good at grammar. Word conjugations, at least, I'm starting to recognize when it IS one, even if I can't grasp the nuance, but like... especially if I'm reading aloud...
tetrayon.bsky.social
Free floating particles in hiragana are actually harder than kanji to me and I don't know if that's normal. I mean yes memorizing and learning thousands of words is hard on its own but that's that's a different skill
