Also put on a K&N cold air intake setup. Uncaring for the "reusable filter" bit and looking for a paper style cone to use instead, but this was done for noise more than performance. Seems like it's easier to ease the clutch and get moving from a standstill now though.

An under-the-hood shot of the yaris. The stock air filter box has been replaced by a cold air intake from K&N. Aside from extra induction noise, the air should have a straighter, less restricted path to the throttle body like this.

Some changes have been made to that glorious shitbox, the silver chariot of sketchy decisions, the Yaris. Swapped to a Megan Racing axleback exhaust/muffler. Sounds pretty nice but isn't painfully louder, makes it sound more like a slightly noisier 2003-2006 Scion xB.

The muffler on the yaris has been replaced by a much shinier, straighter flowing one.

The Yaris' old muffler, taken off of said car. It's a vaguely cube-shaped unit, and the exhaust flow seems to make a U-turn within it before making another U-turn so the tailpipe is towards the rear. Somewhat restrictive tube diameters too.
