Today was a good day, I think. Had a lightsaber battle with my son and his friends at the park, found a GORGEOUS pale blue stone perfect for carving, and now I'm sitting here catching up on writing with a London Fog. How has your Sunday been?

So I was checking my son's school lunch today, and I came across an interesting choice of fresh fruit.

So 55mph (89 km/h) winds prevented any outdoor stone carving today, so I improvised -- hammered out a simple copper ring and my first ever penannular brooch. Perfect? Heck no. Fun? Heck yes.

Sharing a simple mini-project today as I wait for my hands and the weather to cooperate with the idea of stone carving. Hammered this ring out of 10 gauge solid state copper wire. Next step is some accent gems and a bit of polishing. #jewelry #art #metalsmithing

One "problem" with living in Colorado is I routinely find beauties like this when out walking the dog.

Why? I'm running out of room in my designated work area! And yes, I will carve something out of it; I just have no idea what yet.
