Stroke Survivor. Game industry sweetheart. Former Humble Bundle. Product Marketing Manager for The New Blank on the Epic Game Store. Honorably mentioned in a Chuck Tingle novel. Gave out donuts from a bathtub at GDC and once fed David Bowie's keyboardist.

Instead of games and movies, I'm doing both.

1 Like = 1 character from the Fast and the Furious franchise and who I think their Final Fantasy equivalent is.
Having visited Wikimedia's old offices when Humble had them in a bundle, the amount they do based off donations alone is nothing short of a miracle of global cooperation. But also I think it'd be hilarious if it backfires and they end up with record amount of donations as a result of him.
I’ve never donated to Wikipedia before but I set up a small monthly donation as a fuck you to the world’s richest psychopath.
Elon Musk takes aim at Wikipedia
Musk has denounced Wikipedia as "Wokepedia" on X and urged people not to donate to the platform.

The blood in my veins appreciates seeing a good looking jook covered in spring onion on the feed.
I just want my friends to have employment, safety, and a partner who will go to couples therapy with them. This shouldn't be a big ask.
The siren song of every 2000s AMV on Limewire, the anthem of every early gameplay video on Youtube, the ambiance of every PC LAN party.
Gonna toast to you with a sobe lizard fuel from a mid 2000s gas station for this.
We really are living in a Treehouse of Horrors episode.
I'll always have them on the first day!
Soon to be the people's Cheesecake Factory
I never feel them anymore, I am apparently either made of air or an extension of the dirt itself 😭
I wish GDC would see that if they shared the knowledge and development for free, they'd get donors and sponsors from the ones who actually thrived from it instead of turning it into some pseudo commercialized event. Kinda like how colleges and universities use to be in the US a few generations ago.
Even as someone who is native born to SF and thinks it has a wholly undeserved bad rep as a city I cant recommend GDC simply because travel to the US is no longer friendly and the event itself feels like it lost the plot with regards to career enrichment versus its cost.
Which is why I tell people there are two GDCs and that the better one has a picnic blanket and doesn't involve a badge
The struggle of introverts misidentified as extroverts 😭
Gonna have to explain to my mentee that working in games is meeting someone at an industry event then forgetting that you met them years earlier at another event and then remembering you had the same interaction back then because you forgot you met them at an even earlier event previously.

Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%
Even the ren faire, a place where people literally dress up as kings, did not want any kings today.
I've been a mentor for two weeks now to a mentee who arguably has more hard skills than I do so all my action items for them are weird soft skill building exercises like write down a list of ridiculous songs to do karaoke with or watch a shit ton of improv comedy.
That makes you the chosen one, the one that gets to choose which industries we Millennials collectively destroy.
