ICE very heavy in Rogers Park #Chicago right now, please repost
Like, good ideas of that type dont come to that type of person
Its also just a really bankrupt grasp of how ideas work

Even if AI is the future, “teaching classes in AI skills” is like “teaching classes in how to use a dishwasher” in 1952.
Perhaps this is implied (or I've misunderstood) but it seems like higher ed administration is still very un-lean, and that this is the area that many folks with a similar view had in mind

Anyway

“This is not philanthropy,” Dimon said. “This is 100 per cent commercial. We are going to take our resources of research, bankers and investors, and we’re going to scour the United States and maybe the world for a new opportunity.”

i.e, maniacal alienation loading
What kind of statement is that 😂

JPMorgan CEO: “You need America to be very, very strong to secure global security,” Dimon said in a call with reporters following the announcement. “If America isn’t very strong, there’s no global security.”

The order takes affect Wednesday and bars the civil arrest of any “party, witness, or potential witness” while going to, remaining at or returning from court proceedings inside the courthouse or its parking lots, sidewalks or entryways.

Judicial warrants can still be served.

I hate to say it, but Stephen King's book "On Writing" has been very good for my writing.
the crazy thing is when they leave the prompts in the copy and paste!

Yeah I bet Trump is so mad that a woman who opposes communism and chavism, promotes capitalism and privatizations, and agrees with sanctions on Venezuela and wants her country to be invaded by the US, just won. He's gotta be so mad
If an opinion disclaimer falls in a forest full of news and gets a ton of engagement clicks, does it make a sound
havent seen the show but remember when Eli Manning did the real life version and that was very funny
Idk this seems circular. Professional conservative journalism and unhinged conservative journalism seek the same destination eventually, one just stops at lights and the other mows down pedestrians on the sidewalk
I've also started to notice (to a degree I havent before) how often online print outlets, notably New York Times and The Hill, run right wing opinion articles in a way that allow them to appear on aggregates as if they are headline stories, with opinion disclaimers increasingly harder to find
The "Thank you George Floyd" posture

Trump has unleashed ICE, but the foundations of what's happening has had the full-throated endorsement of Democrats. We are less than a year away for a Democratic campaign that argued Trump wasn't serious enough about deporting people. Why would we expect this party to act?
A fascist gestapo of mediocre white males, the longest song in history
ICE just blatantly violated the law and arrested sitting Chicago Alderperson Jessie Fuentes while seeking to illegally arrest a patient in a hospital. Fuck these fascists.
this is interesting. 15 years ago the Hawks were the best team in the NHL, last year when I went they were the 2nd worst
went to my first blackhawks game last year and was mesmerized by the silence actually. no huge music, dumb sponsored prize shots, no tshirt cannon. A very non-invasive PA announcer but that was it
reminder to whomever needs to hear it/see it, medical offices and especially pediatric care locations are routinely and coolly racist spaces
