Lord Celebrimbor wants you to pre-order my book! www.teawithtolkien.com/book
Lord Celebrimbor holds the book cover art for “Into the Heart of Middle-earth” while gazing upon it reverently.
do you ever think about Elrond and cry??????
I know he’s such a sweetie it’s so funny hahaha
And he overplayed his hand, thinking that was what she wanted — because he’s so stupid he doesn’t understand what motivates a “good” person!
It’s quality television to me!!
Nooooo I’m not evil, welll at least I won’t be with you at my side 😇
Took a little break from social media but I had to come back to say that I’m rewatching The Rings of Power and nothing hits quite like season one Haladriel. There’s a lot to love about season two, but I fear nothing is ever going to top Sauron dressing up as Galadriel’s brother to PROPOSE to her???
Kind words from Carl Hostetter, editor of The Nature of Middle-earth! 🌟

Text: "On the eve of the publication of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien wrote that in doing so he had
'exposed his heart to be shot at'.
Kaitlyn Facista here lifts that heart up, to show how it speaks to our own, of hope, faith, mercy, courage, and self-sacrifice; and invites us to ponder that heart, to discern how we might each embrace and embody the virtues it espouses in our own ways, in our lives and in our world."

Hi! Thanks so much for asking. It’s non-fiction! It’s an exploration of what Tolkien means to me and how the virtues of Middle-earth can inspire us to courage, hope, etc. in our own lives, with an emphasis on how his faith influenced his literary world.
Faith is a pretty strong theme in LOTR, whether it’s in “something else at work, beyond any design of the ring maker”, faith in each other, the elvish concept of Estel (“hope/trust”), or the role of the Faithful in Númenor. The book explores all of this alongside the influence of Tolkien’s own faith

We still need 50 people to attend in-person in order to break even, and we're a little over halfway there. If we can get to 40 before the early-bird registration window closes, we'll be in great shape!

We have some GREAT news for you today!

Katie and I have spent the last few days working behind the scenes to lower our costs for the moot: finding a few places to trim costs, and negotiating with the event venue.
Kind words about my book, Into the Heart of Middle-earth. 🫖
