Updated my ublock Origin filters to now include the Bookmark counter in the expanded view. It does not display elsewhere far as I can tell and previous filtration to block other counters still seems to work. You can find the filters in one of my Github repositories here: github.com/TealfulEyes/...

Unfortunately in a variety of spaces(especially the professional work place) hair bias/discrimination is still quite prevalent, despite efforts to normalize natural hair styles. So to hear people compliment on it and even ask for advice and help with it has been a joyful thing for me over the years.

Lot of things I am proud of with my work, but one aspect that brings me joy is when I get random compliments and comments on the way I do hair. Most of how I do hair texture and styles is rooted(heh) in living with and caring for natural black hairstyles. So it means a lot to me on a personal level.

Manchurian Candidate is a movie I loved, but despite how good I thought it was...my favourite part about it is the cover of Fortunate Son it wrapped up with. The original Fortunate Son is used so much it, you get numb to it so a refreshing and good cover is awesome.

Its amusing when I share my screen during work meetings or running personnel training sessions, I always get some comment on how few tabs I have in my browser or files on my desktop. I'm just very strict with my organization and loathe clutter...

Holy moly time flies...I forgot Pokemon ZA was releasing this week...
I feel bad because one hand I want to buy it, on the other hand I am still not finished with Donkey Kong and I LOATHE the idea of having a backlog above 2. I can get it later...but it has that friends component that tempts me.

Various local elections across the US are coming up, but the Governor positions for New Jersey and Virginia in particular are up for vote November 4th. Deadline to register for NJ is today October 14th and for Virginia it is October 24th. Check your respective states election department for details.

In an ideal world of logic and reason, we'd simply build out infrastructure and security measures on top of existing forms of age verification to use online. We already have a lot technology and tools that can do this in a way that respects privacy, but in the end this is about power/control.

The way I view the arts is pretty simple...
I don't have competition, I have comrades. Art is far more enjoyable when you treat it less like an arena through a lens of comparison and more like a journey with people to learn from along the way.

I finally got around to customizing my keyboard and num pad keys. Its been years unfortunately as I never had time to just sit down and do it, but I'm glad the QMK CLI is still a thing. I don't like using browser configurators and such(they're a bit limited anyway especially for rotary knobs)

Posts don't seem to update like they used to and require a force refresh after visiting a page fresh. Not sure if that's just me, but I guess I'll just have to adjust for that.

Reason I'm posting random things is because I wanted to check the performance of Bluesky(also its fun to be a little silly here and there). It's noticeably slower to post and update on my mobile browser(Vanadium and Firefox). However it feels like Bluesky has been pretty slow on Desktop too.

As an experiment I poured water into a measuring cup to see what 1 cup is in all my cups. The result...All my cups are liars and are not at all 1 cup! One even dared to be less than 1 cup!

Yeah, for me dairy was never an option from birth so I speed ran that part lol. That was a hell of a journey itself, but now I can just enjoy oat milk.
