I like reading books about books, listening to jangly guitar music, and watching Philadelphia sports teams break my heart.

I was 16 when Nevermind came out and I can attest to its zeitgeist-changing power. But BLEACH is no Nevermind, even if "About a Girl" hints at the greatness to come.

Voting for RAW&COOKED, which at 35 minutes flies by, and gave us one great single and one pretty good one.
Whoa! 4-4 in the ninth inning of Game 7. Buckle up
My bracket has been busted since round one. But I voted for AUTOMATIC
Hamnet
Train Dreams

My daughter votes for Wicked, but not with me!
Too easy. Three is the magic number for the third seed, 3 FEET HIGH. One of the best of any year.
A Philadelphia legend. You could catch him at shows around town spreading good vibes and celebrating live music
Adding “Goblin Style” makes everything taste better
Thank God someone said it!
My heart still soars everytime I hear "This the One!" Or when the chugging of distant trains turns into Mani's bass on "I Wanna Be Adored." Or when Ian Brown snarl's a manifesto in a couplet: "Kiss me where the sun don't shine/ The past was yours but the future's mine." VOTE ROSES '89!
The most terrifying aspect of the movie is that it forces the viewer to imagine all the ways the current commander-in-chief and "Secretary of War" would absolutely screw this up.
That Carter home run ripped my heart out, but you can’t possibly expect me to root for Los Angeles

The NBA has a new all-time points per game leader... 👀
The thing about picking your top five R.E.M. songs is that's impossible. I read everyone's list and agreed with each one. Such a catalog. For what it's worth, here's mine for today:
5. Country Feedback
4. New Test Leper
3. Talk About the Passion
2. So. Central Rain
1. Find the River

That's a perfect encapsulation.
My vote for Janet feels inevitable, but before I do I am listening to FLOATING again in its entirety. This album was a tournament discovery and I'm totally feeling today. Otherworldly and beautiful. Feeling the pull...
Phillies fans: does the ghost of Joe Carter loom so large in our collective pain that we would actively root for the Dodgers? Is Ohtani's greatness so transcendent that we can root for a team from California? Genuinely conflicted here.
