I had to have Xfinity come out to check my internet connection. He was also scheduled to show up between noon and two.
He showed up closer to two but man did they give me updates! 'Your technician just got up. He just ate breakfast, he took a shower... (ok not quite THAT detailed🤣)

I had a friend who worked in a State office years ago. She said when the power was out they couldn;t even sharpen pencils b/c all the pencil sharpeners were electric.
There's something to be said for 'old fashioned' technology.
