What a great idea!
Ahead of the 1st shutdown of US food aid to hungry Americans in 60 years, some of the 200,000 Little Free Library locations are converting into food pantries. Thanks @littlefreelibrary.bsky.social
My bad. Thanks for correction
David Wineland, Nobel laureate, and active professor at Univ of Oregon at the #FiOLS25. He gave a great talk covering the origins of physical realization of quantum gates (leading to his eventual Nobel prize which he didn't talk about) very self effacing and humor filled presentation #quantum #Denve
Seen Parasite movie ? Like that ouch
Almost bitter like a DIPA - Russel Kelly Telluride Brewing IPA!

Amazing panel of entrepreneurs at Optica #FiOLS25 meeting - make optics get to customers always :) 🧪
Saddened to learn photonic crystal pioneer Prof. John Johnopolous from MIT passed away in the last year. #FiOLS25 #Denver 🧪

#USYD’s Prof Benjamin Eggleton (PVC Research) hosted a visit by Stanford’s Prof Shanhui Fan to Research & Prototype Foundry, a #USYD Core Research Facility.
Lots of inspiring discussions about the cutting edge of photonics.
Thank you @profbeneggleton.bsky.social

Ah.. wrong company. TBH lot of the iRobot demos were programmed but yes they were leading in the physical side of things and the tide of AI/RL would have lifted them
iRobot was owned by Hyundai right ?
Evening Social hosted by Optical society at Denver Art Museum - quite a collection but didn't think I'd meet with Van Goh ... #frontiersinoptics
Boulder, CO seems like a hotspot for Quantum Computing hardware with pedigree of CU, NIST Boulder, and companies like Quantinuum and Atom Computing (startups with war chest funding...) #FiOLS25 #frontiersinoptics #Denver

Some gripes with optics community is publishing the color map jet on MATLAB rather than using the upgraded parula color map. This would be better to understand the growth of intensity in concordance to more eye visible operator
Frontiers in Optics FiOLS25 tracks on Quantum Networks and progress made in recent years are amazing and speakers are outstanding on Monday program @optica.org #Denver 🧪
