there’s a thing here about for the last decade or so, online people have been very negative about small talk - the weather, or local news, or whatever - and small talk is the grease that keeps physical interactions going, and i am tired of ceding that to shut-ins

Being nice to people is just fun. Asked young server at taco place how her day was going (fine but tired) and she asked me back. I said I managed to finish my to-do list and she unexpectedly gave me a high five! Treating people like people is always rewarding.

Oh my god big agree. Like I’ve caught so many issues from people using machine learning tools and I’m like…hello??? You think this could replace A QA person?!?? WRONG it’s not sustainable and will lead to more problems down the line

Machine Learning will never, ever be able to replace what QA does as a job for the sole reason of why QA exists in the first place. I've been given tools before to try to assist with this, to try to replicate what I do and it has n e v e r (not ONCE) been at tool that is sustainable.

As someone who works in QA and Regulatory for a company. It’s gonna be a bad day when the big error machines replace people in those roles. It’s important to have humans be in those roles because I’ve caught machine errors a lot! QA teams are so vital for almost everything
