We're seeing incredible voter turnout across Minneapolis! Remember, if you are in line, STAY IN LINE. As long as you are at the polls by 8pm, you are still allowed to vote, and we need your voice! Rank Omar #1 for an affordable city, accountable to us.

Polls close at 8PM. If you’re in line, stay in line. Let’s finish strong.

It’s 5 PM, which means you still have 3 hours left to rank all 3 candidates for a new mayor:

As long as you’re in line to vote at your polling place by 8PM, you can cast your vote for a new mayor!

We're going to be knocking on doors until the last minute today spreading the word about this election and what's at stake.

If you haven't voted yet, please do (and please rank me first)! Polls close today at 8 pm.

Any pundit claiming that Dems needs to moderate, throw trans people under the bus, stop pushing so hard for climate action needs to grapple with the enduring appeal of a party and leader that does *this*.
"So, to repeat, the party at Mar a Lago wasn’t a case of tone deafness, living it up despite others’ suffering. It was in large part a party held to celebrate others’ suffering."
"you can see the same joy in cruelty, not just in Trump, but in most of his top minions, from Stephen Miller and JD Vance to Tom Homans, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi and Pete Hegseth. All of them clearly take a smirking satisfaction in their ability to stick it to the poor and powerless..."

It’s finally here: Election Day!

It’s 7 AM, which means polling places across the city are open until 8 PM tonight!

After 8 years of Frey’s failed leadership, today’s the day we turn the page and elect @omarfatehmn.com, @dewayneforminneapolis.com or @jazzformayor.bsky.social for mayor!

Met Flo on the doors and proud to have her support.

When we opened the door, she said “I am a badass broad.”

She’s helped with campaigns since Hubert Humphrey’s run for mayor and knows we need leadership.

I’m asking everyone to vote for a new Mayor by Tuesday and rank all 3 of Omar Fateh, Dewayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton in whichever order you prefer. I’ve worked at City Hall for the last 4 years and from my personal experiences I believe the City desperately needs a new mayor.

Long thread 🧵

Minneapolitans, don't forget to vote tomorrow!
Sounds nuts, but I come from a field that thinks most of the universe is made up of effectively invisible matter and energy

Frey has worked hard for developers, but the results haven’t trickled down to working families who rent.

New research from experts at the U shows that “over 80% of lower-income Minneapolis renters were cost-burdened in 2023.”

Over half of Minneapolis residents are renters and Frey is failing them.
I'm out for the count because of an injury, but this I can do. Can anyone else join me?
EMERGENCY REQUEST 🚨🗳️:

A side effect of having the best door knocking team in the city is that they go through materials like nobody’s business! We’re almost out of flyers, and we need to raise $2k so we can place an order first thing tomorrow morning. Please chip in and spread the word!

Oh, and while we're on the subject of Rupert Murdoch:

And hmm, let's look at what warmed over pablum they propose for climate action and environmental justice

Barf. Here's the "Team Mpls" plan to “address climate change.” No mention of getting off fossil fuels. Nothing on electrification. Nothing on renewable energy, transit or building housing near transit. Just trees and carbon capture(?). This fluff could have been written by the Koch Bros (1/2)

Honored to have Sierra Club's support! We can do good, cool, and important things in this city. Vote for people who agree, not "Team MPLS" fatalism
You wouldn't know it from the pathetic "Team Mpls" platform, but cities can take real action to do their part on climate emissions. Serious climate candidates here: www.sierraclub.org/minnesota/20... - North Star Chapter Sierra Club PAC (2/2)

Do you want real climate action from a mayor and council that actually cares about getting it right - or do you want lip service from pretend progressives who get their money from well-heeled MAGA types
