It has been a particularly violent weekend at schools across Mississippi: Last night, one person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting near Alcorn State University. And during a tailgate at Jackson State University, a child was wounded in shooting outside the football stadium.

Atatiana should be alive today, pursuing her dreams of going to medical school and watching Zion grow up. Instead, her bright future was stolen from her by police violence, and her loved ones are forced to mourn her. Zion lives with the trauma of the shooting to this day.

🚨 This is HUGE! 🚨California is the first state in the country to tackle DIY machine guns by preventing dealers from selling pistols that can be converted with “switches.” Gun manufacturers have known about this problem for decades, yet they refused to take action. So Californians did! 💪

At least two people were shot and killed, and 12 others were shot and wounded, late last night in downtown Montgomery during the Alabama National Fair. Police described the firearms used as “high capacity.”
