I only use prime numbers or e^[whole number] to guide my antimicrobial durations

Funnily enough I have always associated cephalosporins with red/orange and penicillins with blue (and carbapenems with purple).

Maybe thats just what the colours were on the infusor line labels in ICU!

Always sad seeing the NT light up in AMR rankings :(

Nowhere in Aus has really been building any of that aside from QLD anyway. We have more hospitals planned than anywhere else even if LNP set it backwards. SYDs infrastructure project is an airport, ADL is road tunnels, MEL has a similar rail tunnel but not much else going on

Por que no los dos? The comm games seemed to do a lot for the GC. I want it to be a headline act with the supporting players of infrastructure etc

Happy to take the same responsibilities & registration if allocated the same privileges (ie: billions of dollars and many thousands of km2 space) as cars. And are orders of magnitude less dangerous

Sure this should be doxycycline instead?

Staph, malaria, filariasis, acne, syphilis, anxiety (patient or physician) etc

@erinmccreary.bsky.social did a great breakpoints ep recently on AI

Her guest: 'AI can be trusted with whatever a moderately competent intern can be trusted with' - DC sum seem perfect. Esp on systems w/ EMR already.

They must write better DC sums than some I've seen from private hosp at least!

Asked to do some #idsky teaching for the medical students on Infective Endocarditis. What topic is most high yield?

I was thinking presentation, micro, TTE?

If you have a flucytosine shortage you probably also don't have any lipo ampho so probably moot

Given the no statistical differences in mortality, do you think the reduced dose could be used in settings of short supply flucytosine? Or increased readmissions etc make it overall more resource intensive?

Amazing to learn about all the ways in which fungi have won, and how we should think about those powers

I really enjoyed this episode, some really cool science with fun anecdotes as well.

Was this question inspired by the recent rest is history Irish independce series I wonder?

I thought there were farmed & toxin free puffer fish available now. Though apparently small doses are sought after 🤷‍♂️

The premier league has many more less meaningful games then the AFL - more teams, everyone playing twice.

Was just talking about this with a colleague today!
