It pains me to see leftist/progressive groups/messaging use AI to create images or videos. Makes me feel like that one scene of Batman-
This is the weapon of the enemy, we do not need it, we will not use it

MCTS is doing good work, but Milwaukee deserves so much more - both a proper metro/light rail system and *actual* BRT!
extend the M line and make it every 10 minutes at worst and make it not suck and that would go so hard
I know it's disingenuous to say Milwaukee is like Chicago Jr. because it has its own history and vibes and everything but I mean cmon it sure feels like it sometimes

(I'm sorry I love Milwaukee don't hurt me)
will I get beat up if I say this part of Milwaukee (just north of downtown) looks like a mini Uptown/Edgewater

I say this mainly because of the towers and higher density next to the water - it's giving Sheridan Road vibes
Where can I get that axolotl costume, both for protest and non-protest purposes
Currently a small group of protesters including a green alien, and an pink axolotl, are on Lexington and 25th to see if the fence will be removed tonight.
Is it a good thing if you have to clarify which car crash and chemical attack performed by the federal government against its own people you’re talking about

(No, no it’s not)
This post was written before today's car crash and chemical attack. Was referring to the preceding car crashes and chemical attacks.
Yes, you should be surprised and horrified by secret federal police running around our city kidnapping immigrants, crashing cars, launching chemical weapons and shooting and killing people. This is a thing you should be *perpetually* shocked by. We lose when we become numb to it.
The amount of times I've witnessed a car in a bus stop or bus lane - thus slowing down the bus and everyone on it - is way too much (there are some stops that I would bet money on a car being parked in it!) This is great to see and I hope we see a decrease in illegal bus lane/stop parking.
Starting October 15, six CTA buses will operate with Automated Bus Lane Enforcement systems as part of the City of Chicago’s Smart Streets pilot.
Automated bus lane, bus stop, and bike lane enforcement starts Wednesday, October 15th Keeping bus stops clear is essential to ensuring that transit is accessible to everyone especially people with disabilities. Bus lanes and bus stops are for buses. Bike lanes are for bikes.
Keeping them clear is essential to ensuring everyone in Chicago gets where they need to go, safely and on time. That's why we're launching automated bus lane, bus stop, and bike lane enforcement to improve rider safety and transit efficiency.
It also doesn't help that the only way to get to the Greyhound Station from downtown Rockford is to take an hour long bus ride...

(they have a "Limited" that cuts the time in half but it doesn't correspond with the afternoon outbound Greyhounds)
Greyhound seems like (currently) the only intercity option between Rockford and Chicago to me - what carrier(s) are you looking at?

In any case, I wish there was a later trip back to Chicago! I'm finding it hard to fit in everything I want to do in a day trip.
To clarify, it's not a four-hour trip (fastest Greyhound takes an hour 25 min) - just the way the bus schedules are, I'll only have four and a half hours or so in Rockford before the last bus back to Chicago.

I know Metra is claiming a trip time of 2 hours - which feels a little long tbh
Trying to plan a day trip to Rockford (via transit) and I at most can get like, four and a half hours there - which is absolutely not enough time to do everything I want to (esp. given the local bus schedules)

Hoping the eventual Metra schedules give me more flexibility!... in two years...

The Broadway upzoning passes the land use commission 15-2. Loud cheers break out
Looks like the same as the other recently renovated ones! Its not the worst design and definitely an upgrade
I don't think I've ever had this happen... why would one bus need to arrive somewhere first? Surely the first bus could just... wait at the terminal/last stop?
The sidewalks on Fullerton need to be double the width

Remove the on-street parking, and incorporate the bike lane into a wider sidewalk
For some reason I feel like you own a rival business to the Dimmsdale Dimmadome
Snowy winter vibes are also peak, tbh…

Not the dirty slushy stuff tho
I don’t think any season can match the pure vibes of autumn
