The one exception to this is in Russia.

Russia is the only Europe-adjacent country where Euroskeptic politicians remain popular and have majority approval. Russia is the only country west of the Urals where fascism can win in a fair election.

This goes back a really long time too, this is not a new development. Hitler could only come to power through a coalition government. He never won a majority of the vote in a fair election. Other right-wing parties tend to have to come to power through coalition.

In most European countries, to win an election, one generally has to be, or at least appear to be, Europhilic, social democratic, and especially in favor of the freedom of movement.

Georgian Dream, the Tories, UK Labour, and Fidesz pretended to be more progressive than they are to be elected.
