Here's a thing I drew a while ago. In the Green Goblin's first appearance, he tricks Spider-man into thinking he's going to be in a movie. There are two panels between which they travel from Hollywood to New Mexico, and I was like, "what happened on that journey??" Well, now we know...
I had no idea Gottfried played him. What perfect casting, since he's also an agent of chaos!
During Byrne's run, he spells it out phonetically - Mix-yez-pittle-ick or something. I always pronounced it Mixy-zip-tulk.
Let me know if you find a way. The Marvel equivalent is sorted chronologically by default, and it's SO useful!
I've criticised both James McAvoy and Grant Morrison on Bluesky in the last 24 hours, and legions of rabid fans have failed to shower me with death threats, so either Bluesky is a far more reasonable place than Twitter was, or there's just nobody here. 🤷‍♂️
"Getting lost in their own wankery" is definitely something Grant Morrison is guilty of.
That's a good one! DC often did it for anniversary issues, and I looked at Batman #300 and #400... clearly I didn't go back far enough! 😄
This one's a good example. Marvel didn’t do it as often as DC, I think. The first Marvel one that springs to mind is Giant Size X-Men #1.
I've always thought of Morrison as just a tourist. Alan Moore lives and breathes the kind of things he puts into his work - Morrison just skims the Wikipedia page.
There's a little doorway to one side that used to have a bell push for each apartment, including 177A. Apparently Roy Thomas chose the address because he used to live there with Gary Friedrich and, at one point, Bill Everett.
I always liked this style of cover, where the central figure or figures is full colour, and the background linework is in a single colour - a colour hold, as it would have been called in those days. Anyone got any other examples?

He's a terrible over-actor. I think it was DOFP where I finally realised how much I hate him. There's barely a scene where he isn't on the verge of tears, doing his trembly voice bullshit. Nowadays, he's one of those celebs I can't even look at without my lip involuntarily curling in contempt.
Can't wait to read this. Out November 13th.
Behind every super hero story is a superfan author. Meet Stuart Moore, the mind behind "Doctor Strange: A Decade of Dark Magic" from the new #Marvel Age of Comics series.

I visited the address too on my first visit to NYC in 2017, along with a few other important places in the Marvel Universe. Can't wait to read your book... I've pre-ordered it.
If Dane Whitman has an ebony blade, maybe he should see a doctor about it... 😬
I think it's a "best not to think about it" situation, otherwise you might end up at the "do they need to excrete" question. 😵‍💫

Here's a T. Rex bored to death trying to bite their own tail. My partner asked me to animate it in stop motion, after she watched a video about the very important topic of "could T. Rex chew its own tail like a dog". The puppet is still a work in progress 🦖
The way he used a pencil alone... 🤯 I could practise for a thousand years and never come close to what Drew Struzan could do. What a loss.
Take a few minutes to appreciate Drew Struzan creating the original artwork for THE PHANTOM MENACE. Truly a master at work.
... although he's clearly one of these guys who learned *everything* from looking at comics - dude, just look at some real people! Liefeld I just do not understand at all. Even if you admire the "energy" of it, everyone is SO ugly! And has straw for hair! 🤦‍♂️
