I've not recovered from pushing myself to fight it, nor my friends

It's fantastic this is happening for artists.

But let's look at those most vulnerable. Many with no hope of extra income. They get an extra €10 a week - even the HIGHEST possible pension rate makes that €319pw.
Not a cent extra in Living Alone Allowance or Household Package.

The Basic Income for the Arts Scheme is €325 a week, similar to what they gave out during the pandemic. This is how much they've deemed one needs in order to live in Ireland. So why is disability benefit only €244? Why are disabled and sick people expected to live so far below the poverty line?

€5 extra per week for #FuelAllowance? That doesn’t even cover one extra single bag of coal PER MONTH!
They broke their hearts to make sure they looked after their own! The Wealthy, Landlords & Investors… They didn’t do enough for ordinary people, workers, disabled, carers, children or families!

€10 per week for social welfare doesn’t even cover the cost of living increases for people who already live in poverty states or live alone. Also, Not everyone on social welfare are “milking the system” the majority have no choice and are actively counting their pennies 😔

The stress and worry that woman caused is off the scale.
People with disabilities were looking at the results of similar 'initiatives' in the UK and seeing increased poverty, sufficating despair, official bullying, and suicides.
