do you mean the legislature???

also... no...
Our best hope is the UCP fractures into UCP. PC (Alberta Party) and Republican (separatist) parties ahead of the election. 9/9
So this Election is the NDP's to lose... and sadly they probably will - but I'm a realist :P. They need to seriously move the polls and Nenshi does not seem to have the energy behind him Notley had. Meaning it might be two unpopular leaders going into the election.

8/
But I think Smith rigged the vote on her leadership review by giving away convention seats to friends and hosting the convention in Red Deer. I don't believe she honestly has 91% of UCP support. . . which I think means the UCP are stuck with her going into the next election, unless she resigns. 7/
And unfortunately that usually works. When I was door-knocking in rural north AB last election people said they would vote UCP cause they expected Smith to be removed in her leadership review. They hated Smith but still voted UCP, in hopes Jean could get the leadership. 6/
No premier has won two consecutive terms in AB since Klein - yet a conservative party has formed every government except one. This is cause they tend to change leaders right before an election and run in the honeymoon period in hopes all will be forgiven. 5/
So oil glut in 2026. destroys the budget going into 2027 election + the separatism feud in the UCP, could be enough to cause the party to split again. AB party is trying to rename themselves the PC party for the next election. It's going to be interesting.... 4/
The province is already overspending and running a 7 billion deficit. A loss of the oil sector from an oil glut would essentially ruin us. The only question is whether the UCP would admit it to the public or try to cook the books and distract us this time, and whether we would buy it. 3/
Was kinda a perfect storm for the NDP to come in. That said - history echos. IEA is predicting a 4 Mbpd oversupply of oil next year. The 2014 oil glut was caused by a 2Mbpd oversupply. Unless the world cuts production (which is unlikely with trump as president in the US), we will see another glut 2/
well you are missing a few steps. After redford we got prentice. Prentice admitted that the province was broke due to an oil glut, and then there was public backlash which caused a split on the conservative side of the party. A third of them joined the wildrose, splitting the vote. 1/?
perpetuating harmful stereotypes does real harm.
Where did I try to burn books and out trans kids? When did I ban vaccines? When did I tell Ukraine they should be neutral and surrender to russia? Please elaborate.

I pointed out that Alberta is not the monopsony that the far right portrays us as - Which is their justification for holding power.
Albertans did not punt redford. The party did. A very different party than the one in power today....

Smith rigged her leadership review to get over 90% of the vote.
You think him "doing it again" (ie insulting some people) is the biggest threat?

emasculating and humiliating him removes the implicit threat of the movement. This video will go around the world. They want you scared of them. This video makes maga look like clowns.

Assaulting does the opposite.
The silliness of tripping is much more effective at emasculating the fascist movement than you would ever achieve with a true beatdown. This ended exactly how it should. "I'm sorry that happened to you, but I don't want you to get hurt more than you already have. You need to go now"
He wouldn't have cut his face if he was wearing his hood....
lol
MAGA man falls on his face TWICE after calling NO KINGS protesters names
🤭😂
When I have witnessed coyote's hunting, they have been opportunity hunters. Not stalking like a cat does, but just saw an opportunity for a kill and went for it with little warning, or strategy.

That said they are smart and capable of learning. They don't all have the same survival strategies.
Ya cause domestic dogs probably kill more dogs than coyotes do....
"stalking" or escorting???
Coyotes will follow other animals and people while they are in their territory - to keep an eye on them and make sure they don't harm their pups. This is not stalking behaviour. That is escorting behaviour as the coyote has no interest in hunting you or fighting you.
But it is... the government needs to enforce the rules. That's their job. We need a government willing to enforce the law. Why wouldn't you agree with that?

The corruption starts and ends with government enforcement (or lack thereof).
Do you think anyone would actually pay their income tax if there was no payroll deductions and no enforcement procedures at revenue Canada?

This isn't just a problem of the oil industry. It's a problem in general. People won't pay their liabilities if they aren't forced to. Nor will corporations.
so if not enforcement of the rules, what is your solution to the problem?
