Funny thing is, if we had decided we just wanted it now and paid via check? It would’ve cost $12 more. Because UPS charges extra for at-door customs clearance. Great. Great!!! GREAT.

We have it paid online now. But it took:
-Pulling up the Yamato Transport tracking number
-Telling it "Yes, we want to submit an insecure form" over and over until it gave us the UPS number
-Paying the tariff *and* a "UPS Brokerage and Partner Government Agency Fee" that was half the tariff price.

So now we’re on hold with UPS, with a stated wait time of “50 to 60 minutes,” which we’ll probably have to hang up before we get on because we have a podcast to record in just over an hour. No idea if there’s a way to do this over the Internet or what. Ludicrous
