I never spat as much as I did here
An old tweet of mine from the 7th of April 2022 that reads:
"My life consists of things happening"

we basically perfected the consumer-grade computer around 2011 or so and they've just been adding bullshit bells and whistles ever since
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

Again, Mark Zuckerberg's kids go to a screen-free school with 14 students total and multiple specialized tutors
let me note that one of the actual tests here is going to be 'what do people pushing these ideas want for their own children' and I will bet you a lot of money that the answer is 'the elite university model of Harvard et al' not 'learning through AI slop'
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

as always it's very telling who gets to be a kid just making mistakes (25-35 year old Republican operatives praising Hitler) and who is a full fledged adult who must face the lifelong consequences of their decisions (Black teenagers, college students protesting genocide)

My words, but I can't remember who made the images
Dark Souls intro voice: "Then, from the Dark, They came."

The image otherwise is but charred shadows before a distant, crimson blaze, crowning the horizon like a saw. A few silhouettes stoop and form notches in the distant curtain of flame. "The lovable Scrunko"

Graveyard Nito holds a flame "the Sgingly Primblus"

The Witch of Izalith "The Incorrigible Skpleft"

I think this is a good picture
Black and white cat asleep in a loose circle on a sofa, eyes shut tight. Behind the cat leans a cushion on the wall, whose cover depicts Ralof from the opening scend of Skyrim. "...finally awake."

They print book spines upside-down in France too
I love these little graphics for words on www.dwds.de
A map showing the regional distribution of the German word "Obacht", depicting the entirety of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg, as well as the German speaking parts of Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy (South Tyrol). All German speaking regions are colour coded, and depicted as a continuous area.

BBC News explain that because of Brexit, Brits will be photographed and have their fingerprints taken when going into the EU, as the UK now is a third country

BBC News forget to explain that the UK helped create these rules when we were part of the EU because we wanted stronger border control
