on the one hand, i think it's bad to leave the FPS and whatnot uncapped on menus and stuff which makes the console go into overdrive. on the other hand, it is very funny for a machine to go from "feelin' fine :)" rendering complex combat to "oh god fuck NNGNNGNGNGNGNH" on a weapon selection menu

their ideology is "leadership knows best" and crafting a rationalization for whatever they're doing - or not doing - at that moment, and if what they do next contradicts that, coming up with more explanations for why that's fine now. they only have beliefs when leadership gives them permission to.

these types tend to scoff at the idea the bully pulpit does anything but are the biggest marks for it.

was not the most important thing but it was one of the most blatant examples of this dynamic with student debt. you'd get berated endlessly about "they can't, and it'd cost them votes anyway, take a civics class, stupid" then they'd turn around and cheer it on the moment the admin started doing it
