Precisely! This book helped me ID half a dozen new herbs in the yard, and put another half a dozen on my wish list. 🤓
A sweet, nutty and cute winter squash from Japan? How incredible! I bet that’ll taste amazing. 🤩
This is fast becoming my favorite book ever. My therapist was like “so how are you enjoying it, just looking up different herbs or…?” And I was like “Oh, no, so I’m reading it front to back! I was the kid that read dictionaries and encyclopedias front to back.” Then she goes, “Ohh! Of course.” 😁
A picture of a beautiful herbal book, blue cover, color, colorful, old style, botanical, illustrations, white lettering, that says:

THE GARDENER'S COMPANION TO MEDICINAL
AN AZ OF HEALING PLANTS AND HOME REMEDIES

MONIQUE SIMMONDS.
MELANIE-JAYNE HOWES
AND JASON IRVING
Oh, delightful! We roasted a pumpkin once for pumpkin pie when I was a kid, but it’s been a long time. I bet that soup was delicious! What else do you like? I picked up a honey-nut squash (like a mini butternut) and a delicata squash for the first time. I’m excited to try them.
A screenshot from the Google images page showing delicata squash, which are creamy yellowish with green stripes down the length of it, and sort of an yellow orange flesh, when their seats are removed in their cut, they end up being sea shaped or half moon shape Screenshot of Google images from showing whole and cooked honey nut squash, which is like a tiny butternut squash, orange flesh, gourd shaped
It’s wonderful that you have access to that! Yeah, I have to admit I did not get to the farmers market all summer, but I’m glad I visited last weekend. It was really great!

I had to look up squash patties, but those look and sound amazing. 👌 My mom used to make zucchini fritters sometimes!
I suppose people could use it for an nefarious reasons, but I find that highly unlikely and even if they do, they’ll show themselves eventually (they can’t help it usually), and then you can just block ‘em.
I’m not sure why other people do it, but I’ll tell you why I do it:
1. The post includes info that I need more time to read or digest before I reply to it, like a link.
2. Or I found the post particularly pithy, insightful, funny, cute, and I wanna remember it for later (like pinning on Pinterest).

- just had a lovely tea time & chat with my artist friend! She is a treasure
- another insightful & cathartic therapy session today
- a box of Italian potato gnocchi from the farmers market + a jar of rosé sauce + a pound of sweet Italian sausage = one of the best dishes I’ve ever had
Y’all you gotta make this! This is a picture of my dinner bowl outside, potato gnocchi, and sweet Italian sausage covered in a rosé sauce with some fresh parsley from my garden A picture of my view, I’m sitting on the deck and the breeze and the cool air and sunshine, about to eat my lunch and then I’m gonna read my herbal and breadmaking books and enjoy the afternoon Just a cheeky little too close selfie, of me and my straw hat. It’s kind of neat that my freckles match the little pin points of light from the straw hat! Selfie of me i my kitchen, just smiling and pretty relieved after what was a very tough week. I’m wearing my new to me green hemp sweater, my hair is curly but a little messy, and my kitchen walls are a soft butter yellow.
Me too, I’m so very grateful!
Correct, and much quieter because the compressor unit is outside, vs. the PTAC units where the compressor is inside the wall, therefore much noisier.
Oh sorry! I worded that confusingly, I don't have one but I do think it's very cool you do!
It’s a bit selfish, I don’t wanna deal with all these tomatoes and peppers lol but thank you 😆
Ohh very sad, oh dear… 😰
I’m glad they’re giving the dog a little picnic. That’s very sweet. But yeah, phew. 😮‍💨
Therapy and visiting my artist friend at her studio. She doesn't know it yet, but she's getting garden veggies because I have way too many lol!
Oh, that’s so cool that you have it in your backyard!! I haven’t seen it in years. I really miss it.
Yeah, it’s hard to keep track of it all! We just gotta do the best we can, and if we get more information, adjust. But whew…

❤️‍🩹 glad you went and got some answers!
Looks like an absolutely wonderful day! So happy for you ☺️
What a great find! I love thrift stores for this. I literally don’t know anyone else with a unicorn collection, this is so cool. 🦄
What a lovely photo, and moment, I’m sure 😊
I’ve literally never heard of this hot dog topping combination! 😯

I do love banana peppers, but more on a cold cuts Italian sub. My hot dog go-to is the classic ketchup, mustard & pickle relish but about half the time I go for the whole grain mustard and sauerkraut combo.
