The irritating thing is that if they printed out the address as I entered it on an address label or similar, Royal Mail would have no difficulty getting that envelope to me. They have my postcode for any geo data thing they want to do. So why does this matter?

Follow up. They sent me another email, 'we see that you have fixed this error, but here's another error, could you fix that too'. The other error was I'd put the name of the village I live in in address line 2, but they wanted it in 'town/city'. Even though it is not a town or a city.

Admin of a large home ed group on FB posted that she was considering starting an accompanying Substack or similar and asking for views.
I commented that there are problems with Substack and shared a link which gave more info. She replied that she’s not seen any Nazi stuff so thinks it’s fine.

I think this is the desperate hope that keeps Labour Party members/supporters voting for them. But I’m just not sure it’s true.
I don’t think Mandelson and all the HQ staff who sabotaged Corbyn are socialists as i would understand the word.

Quite apart from the fact that they taught us at school to punctuate addresses with a comma after the number. The Royal Mail's authority does not supersede that of Mrs Doughty the english teacher.
