It's a known fact that Jack can't resist a good Lollipop, and will grant his subjects some special rewards for giving him one. However, it seems you've been taking advantage of that to get your own kind of "special reward" from him.

It seems all that sugar is giving him a bit of a tummy ache on top of having no more rewards to give you, but I'm sure he would appreciate some help from his loyal subject to help him feel better (and I'm sure you'd consider it a perfect reward for your efforts~).

Probably obvious but do NOT turn to frequent alcohol usage. The only reason it "works" long term is because you eventually need so much to get drunk that by the time any effects kick in you've basically passed out, and that's not worth the damage it does to everything else inside you,

I think you only need to be sinking a billion hours into stuff if you want to be competing in really high level tournaments 'n such, otherwise you can usually do pretty well even with only an hour or 2 of practice a day, it adds up suprisingly quickly.
