You know, I just thought of it.
After replaying Kirby 64, I noticed this was the game where Dedede's characterization really started to shine through where he actually starts helping out.
It's a real shame just a few years later they completely butchered his character in the anime.

I was playing Kirby 64 yesterday with one of my friends and they said how they missed how copy abilties function in this game, not so the whole combinting abilties mechanic but rather how Kirby utalizes them by changing his body.
And y'know what?
I think I agree.
