This year, 15 October marks the evolution of #EUFluDay into #EURespiDay 😷

💉 Vaccination against respiratory viruses is key to protecting all of us.

✅ Prevents severe illness and deaths
✅ Improves quality of life

- reinforce nat. capacity building
- strengthen preparedness & emergency response
- allow more flexible use of budget
- include health preparedness

Regarding Crisis Coordination Hub we need more ℹ on its functioning.

- make return process & operations more effective
- improve migration management

#Frontex should complement and support the capacities of MS in managing and protecting the 🇪🇺 external borders.

Standing Corps should provide complementary support to MS.🛂

In terms of cooperation with third countries Frontex should be more flexible.

➡️ Industry needs more time to adapt & feasible, well-assessed measures.

Given the structure of 🇸🇰agriculture, proposed mandatory degressivity & capping of direct payments will affect 80% of cultivated area, incl. most productive farms, & would be devastating for our farmers

✈️ Slovakia 🇸🇰 successfully evacuated 7 oncologically ill children & their 16 companions from #Gaza, providing a special flight Eilat 🇮🇱 - Brussels 🇧🇪

This 7th #MEDEVAC under the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism 🇪🇺 took 19 hours & was one of the most challenging yet.

#EURACARE Flight & Shelter module, which suppors evacuation of pediatric patients from Gaza & 🇸🇰 nationals, was also presented 🇪🇺
