some people will really have seen this entire administration's actions and then believe any press releases/legal documents they put out.

truly nothing more insane than believing the lying party, like just saying untrue shit is their entire gameplan???

Have you been asleep for a year???

Thinking about just how important the wording of any question in a survey or wording of an ordinance vote is for leading/ not leading the reader into a specific answer you want and laughing my head off at this one. We're really fishing for An Answer here.

Plans for stream tonight involve Yugioh Master Duel! We'll be opening some packs to build up Mitsurugi Orcust, tinkering with a list and getting some games in.

Catch you there!

I had both of those experiences in one draft which was an experience, felt like I was playing on a different power band entirely with how good The Spot was. Probably worth every other draft experience just for that.

I saw a lot of either not realizing a card was legendary and playing a second copy (4/5 Deathtoucher or 2/2 mayhem flier), or actively trading to make a second or third copy live (4/3 Rampant Growth or 3/3 for W), combined with how quick you need to find your open lane it's a rough format.

From the WPN collecting article we have 190 as a set size, very slightly more than Spider-man. We don't have it announced that it's made for Pick 2, but I feel that's a safe assumption at that set size.

The common/uncommon legends combined with Spider-mans set size feel pretty awkward, absolutely.

Yeah, it's clear there were a lot of moving parts that sets don't normally have to deal with (size change, Legality, adding a limited format at all, Omenpaths on MTGA) that really did no favors for Spider-man. I've got my eyes open for how future releases like TMNT tackle this size and format.

On the opposite end of this, Bloomburrow and Final Fantasy sit as my favorite releases of the last years. Bloomburrow feels just so vibrant and has a great mechanic set, while Final Fantasy let's me fall back into these games and characters, while providing such a perfect draft format to go with it.

This all stems from putting together my thoughts on Spider-man/Omenpaths today. I thought this might be my least favorite set in years, but reflecting on it I've got a lower opinion on Murders at Karlov Manor. So many excellent sets for WotC over the last years but that one is rough on many angles.

The main thing I've taken away from this is having another tool for Cube Design and Draft in paper or with a group of 4. Having these different formats for limited are great tool belt options, I'm just sad at how the experience with it on MTGA just has a lot of downside with little upsides.

The Pick 2 Draft for Spider-man/Omenpaths is a bit tragic. There are some great advantages to the format, smaller group and quicker drafts, but downsides of extremely on rails drafts and lack of depth. On MTGA those positives are blunted, leaving a quick casual format that loses luster on repetition

I also gotta directly call out Turtles Forever, for many reasons. An extremely unique Gifts Ungiven take, with fixed text for "Pick 4", along with some of the cutest flavor/art that it could be. The 4 different era Turtles with different art styles, along with the very casual flavor text feels great

With the very initial announcement of the Magic TMNT set, the feel of it all is a lot more goofy and fun, I like it~

Of these spoilers, the one I'm biggest fans of are Super Shredder and Bebop & Rocksteady for being really clean designs, powerful immediately with lots of flexibility (and synergy)

The early looks at the TMNT set look sweet, and further highlight how much Spider-Man was weighed down by external factors. Hopefully this one hits much better.
